Been spending a lot of time hours upon hours in the QMDJ aka the process of learning it as that's what it takes...

Personally out of all their systems I like the ZWDS the best, even over the precisionate of the solar bazi type, as it being lunar shows the personal interactions of that in environments and that of relationships to the groups and masses levels, who are part of your journey influencing you as well, but it too is not a fast learn when you go into it's intracacies beyond the basic chart itself...


Those intracacies take time to learn for the more thorough clear and precise of your interpretations...

However once accomplised it is *extremely logical*, and very highly people, and personal characters real life oriented...

Very, very accurate in that of and for any's journies in the positive growth venue of life itself...

Many that don't do Ntl charts might not think so, as those require special skills also, but the ZWDS is quite descriptive and accurate there too, as they are simply just another type of birth chart...

Since those who make the softwares limit most to the 1900's upwards, for anything older you have to learn how to manually construct the charts and then find other accurate resources to determine a few basic start variables...

Reminds me was the softwares that had the issues hr t calc's a problem with some of the bazi aka fourpillar types...

When I first manually constructed the US chart in ZWDS wasn't initially easy for me to understand and got hung up on one area but over time put more into the interpretation of the characters and how the palaces, plus interactions with others affected them, that do real well with it now...

Had snuck some in the last US blog and it was stunningly precisionate in and of the actual results...

When used to answer questions, it does take a good while to translate the extremely coarse of some of it's meanings to that more applicable to most's normal daily live's...

That's beyond the time it takes to construct the chart in the first place...


The coarse stuff ok in that of weathers, natural phenomena and war, crime or similar areas, but has to be tailored down in some areas where you deal with that of normal life, relationships and daily routines areas...

There's more than one method used to construct a chart, and it's actually the harder one which is the full of a complete formula itself, which is the best and most flexible...

It's the huge of Cosmic chess that shows the active inner workings of the cosmo's at any point in time...

No system could be entirely perfect in that but the QMDJ does a great job in the practical and usable of that period...

Mainly due to the large number of interlocking variables that makes it an incredibly advanced system!...

Anyway even with pretty fair in that, it still took me, an entire brain ouch busting week, just to finally *in the sure* master the roll your own (chart) method using the proper dun/ju count for the date!...

Had to do with some fuzziness of options one could go with count methods and was going over it and the other in standard book date chart types, so got to be confusing sequences, etc different....

So wasn't fully clear in the initial, but once was able to get the correct dun counts and trying couple of ways was able to finally understand the correct sequences of the formula type....

Had used standard book date charts initially, then went with that of calculated types, and now using formula method with correct dun/ju count makes it very clear whether a given book date chart type is correct or not, plus you can roll your own without period at that point...

As long as you have the correct dun/ju count you can use either, but again liked the roll your own option]...


What was hilarious and more so quite profound of the one had did and observed for today:

Solved that of QMDJ differences of Day chart type references were none, both are of the San Yuan system and while used different sequences for chart calc's are identical...

Problem with the book pre done day chart types, were they were using just an FS # sequence for the dates and not the true dun/ju count number of the date...

Those do come with certain evaluations informations already done for you as their main utility and feature and in those you calculate, you will still find it's chart in one to use anyway, just not under the date shown for them in most cases...

The San Yuan QMDJ systems use all 64 hexagrams within as well...

As said it's definitely not for all, and where too difficult nothing of you is lessoned or at fault in any way, even in that you can still use the Iching itself alone and at any time...

On the QMDJ those books on day charts are correct of their dates after all, my err there as that of my books just don't explain all that concerning that particular area very well at all!...

In fact mainly that area wasn't even mentioned in them and just left to your imagination...

Those day chart reference books do use a nominal daily feng shui star number as it's dun count for any given date, so are correct in that!...

Those depending on year may be off plus or minus one day, but in this year really tracking well with *the daily FS #'s used here*!...


However when you go to use such charts you use the dun count of the active sub season involved at the time instead!...

The latter seasons aka the 24 mountains each have three periods to each of those seasons...

Then each period has it's own FS number aka dun count aka Ju number, and are also often referred to as the dun hour count as well...

Those latter numbers allow any to plot the correct QMDJ chart for any date and *hour* combined!...


So if I construct a chart for the Rat hour or day start of any date that would be a better reflection of the date than the standard day charts themselves, but both can be used as it's just a point of view as to directness in that any can be adjusted to work in that regard...

Do find the day start best myself as can be quickly duplicated of any other system and in which the themes will all agree between them...


Then that of the day chart book types in main just allows you to just have a wide variery aka 360 plus 5 different charts to draw upon for the years basic day to day FS # change cycle itself, and for personal reference purposes only...

In some where hour stems plotted can be one or two areas which has a dual hours set for one or more palaces, so you have to hope in that method they have listed all sets like that...

Ok removed other can't say that all is listed but did appear so, and fact is you do need a separate book to manually plot the charts which is where found the needed, but assuming all there!...

So that's made pretty difficult using a forecast's book type, as you'll need the how to plot book as well and wasn't easy to find the matching hour sequence example in that, but was there!...

Was more like you were suppose to memorize all possible hour stem sequences, before plotting the chart and that would be difficult for sure, but with effort and going through the examples of it, you'd find what you needed to plot them...

One work around is just to buy and use *it's 540 hour charts book types* and look up for hour needed preferred, and need dun/ju calendar preferred also, else use software alone for all.... 

Another singular all in one book of different plot method that like and using, still requires calendars, etc in the very minimum!... 

Though if had info you could also construct the calendar yourself as well, so an all in one type...


Before you even get to the purpose or app you want to use a chart for, you have to plot it, and there are two different methods of books mentioned above:

They both start out plotting the day stems in the very same manner and pattern...

However in major difference when you get to that of plotting the hour
stem itself, they divurge and are plotted differently!...

One can do pretty well in the general routine, by simply using just that of basic bazi at hour levels all by itself, there as well!...

Using it's inbuilt calendar for the dun/ju requires minor lookup used by some others and of the appropriate subseason, it often won't agree with the standard calendars used for such ...

Says that it's a seprate system for that, has logic, but doesn't always match up, nor did for a May 21st 2015 example using now....

If had not followed it's day count back procedure and used just the date would have been correct, but not the next date, so hit and miss...

Same throws off the earth stem palace assignments compared to standard types...

So in begins throws off all placements for the earth plate...

Even when by luck those match the standard of a given day, that for plotting the 9 stars of the heavens plate and the doors will be radically different...

So it's one unique system and the question will be, does it work???

On the heavens plate you have to repeatedly thumb back and forth in the book to set the stars one by one for it...

Started a chart today and couple hours later just getting the heavens plate done, so not very speedy at all...

However the and completed charts should be interesting as so unique hard telling what result's I'll get...

If does work well it's probably the bargain of the century for it's price!...

*You must translate chinese characters* from that given within the book also, as all charts there in such, and *you need* good background fundamentals of the bazi, feng shui, plus the iching, or in lieu if your strong in the Wwg then ok, *else it's very likely it may not work for you at all*!...


Beyond the translations part, it's all written of the most impecable and excellent in english skills and it's quite evident he put a lot of himself into the work with the sole purpose of teaching the non chinese speaking person the art itself...

You can gain further additional from others books, even net articles, or from the quite exhorbitant costings of some not all courses to further supplement it, but as a *unique standalone and complete reference in and of itself*, and which from which you can construct and interpret your own QMDJ charts, *his in terms of basic purposes, is in my opinion is one or the most outstanding book on the subject around*!...


Even with backgrounds can take some time:
If not on hand, you'd need to look up a 24 solar seasons table in wiki or something like that for the book calendar use, unless you have separate one...

You may need to pay special attention to some pattern details in the example charts don't think all is mentioned of that in the how to plot areas of some fine points, but may be elsewhere in the book, anyway noting the plotted question example chart *patterns* can be key and important...

Then also check some against additional similar areas on the net, article for any tid bit you don't quite get, as I did...


Had forgot about that, but just may be I overlooked it, as had another plot charts reference anyway!...

You can always later add other resources in the way  or as you see fit...

Once learned should stick with you on the plotting anyway, and quite awhile on combinations, etc still studying there, but basic interp not too difficult...

No matter how look at it, that book at it's price is a huge bargain...

QMDJ and Inbuilt calendar in the learning book mentioned well prior:

You have to use the actual chinese animal day dates, and not the Xun Shou aka converted one's to get the correct Yuan aka the current period's Dun/Ju #, that's within each of the 24 subcycle season types...


Book only showed two examples in the how to area, and you'll have to net lookup in the Dun/Ju count areas or the how to construct QMDJ chart areas to find the count numbers used for each subseason's periods...

Will list a site for the 24 season start dates and that of the Dun/Ju counts later...

Had made error on that first chart did, and found when used the actual chinese date itself for the dun count, it correctly matches that in the commercial calendars...

As opposed to an actual calendar where you will do date and hour conversions, *there is some erasticity at times of the true dun count found in those, where it may be of one value for only a couple of days then normalizes out...

Only an actual calendar will correctly list those, while the inbuilt type used in the book will be incorrect for those two days only!...

May have confused some on tosses before, so try to clear that up:

It's always the first toss that nearly always holds the answer by stars!...

On personal questions which do have to have strong significance for you personally you should get very good answers in the stars only, and even stronger if one of the trigrams is related to your subject matter areas...

That doesn't mean the names will look related to your question though and from an Iching view you may have to do several tosses on the same in various *hours*, until you recieve a strong names related match...

Most of the time that too will work out very well in terms of it's stars or confirm the first toss too, and you'll feel more sure about it vis the names being related to the question matter...


Bottom line though is the first toss nearly always no matter how it looks will hold the answer star wise!...

Have given couple of the *When type question examples* in recent two months as solid proofs per the questions asked themselves any can find and look into...

Most books and that of the superiching have many examples most could learn from...


Only when are huge even unseen environments matters or a very rare statistical fluke, will that be obstructed and another toss in different hour or date required...

*There's more than I say to it*, and leave that for only those who are most sincere, and have the strength in the needed of patience and endurance to find for themselves...

Some times the answer in stars is hard to see, as there are many possible hexagram configurations, so many different ways the stars interact in them as well...
