Some non Qi Men types, might not understand that of asking questions as related to a given chart for a given time, most courses teach the valid methods aka proper ways of doing that, Joey Yap's uses several methods just for that purpose as does Master Lai minus additional of special meditative extenders used in the former for simular reasons, etc...
Myself I have spent and yet spend numerous hours checking both day and hour charts out, and is the best way to learn, and where most *will eventually find that it all checks out in real time* as well which is fundamental itself, else the various questions methods would not work but they do perfectly!...
Yet spend hours at it as that's what it takes to sync or memorize a lot while at it and it's primarily real time where I focus being more actual events oriented than most...
Most say nothing about as in a lot it's the gathering of notes on each, and those in turn over time make it easier to do a more accurate forecast aka chart reading on your own or others questions...
In doing that one will also sometimes in a given day find what are very fortunate or favorable times for themselves, and or others which then you can productively use to take important actions in, knowing you'll get better results...
Those separate of other methods, work well, and are a payoff for your work...
For those who only have the Jerry King QMDJ (c) book and feel course costs are too much for them in the present, recommend *at the bare minimum to get Joey Yap's Dieties (c) book*, as in that and the modern versis old classics texts that even those catergorized as Inauspacious, do for people have other *quite positive areas in their chars, traits, etc* which will allow for better birth chart or personal questions type readings!...
Goes without saying also that of Calvin Yap's Chai Bu Pro calculator so you can easily do Imperial Zhi Run hourly qmdj chartings as well...
A course such as mentioned earlier is *the absolute best for learning and in many more areas and greater details, but the very dedicated may be able to do ok with the Jerry King book from it's examples and the criteria that's given in the book for them as well...

That was of it's date for the NM period itself, and in our dailies most planetary have some daily change to them especially the Moon, and that of Venus shown in it is now also in the NM's chart in Leo 5th type areas...
5th areas are often noted as the more aggressive *types* areas for any lunar period and then of individual dates when you pop an Overhead chart for the given time at any location (different coordinates) then that can or will be of a different physical sign with all signs in different houses, etc...
Standard Western tropical is more detailed in terms of planets and other objects aka symbols and except for the very same of the ascendant is more refined on other house sign placements...
That being said I nearly always stick to Western Vedic Tropical for the daily's if and when I mention a paticular house area, is easier plus adds the valid of the vedic nakshatra and rulers to the planets in them as well...

Personally I nearly always now look at them when I examine the hour charts of a day, then aside the quiet observations of some news events, also pay great attention to any near or connected to me of their actions or situations, plus that of my own separate interactions in areas that come up in my own day as well...

Some sort of com errors came up and was supposed to have my high power pain med delivered to me last Saturday...That being the day would be down to 0 on the pills...
Was sure of it as had called the Pharmacy friday, and they said it was being sent out...
Didn't happen but had one extra pill for Saturday of a missed dosage in the prior month, and then one for Sunday from one had dropped in a lockbox couple months back...
Ideally take 2 per day so just one does cause some limitations and problems usually with some fever as well...

Result sometime Sunday nite or very wee hours monday, become sort of oblivious to time when went into withdrawal symptoms so not sure of the time...

Had to have friends come over and help me get up from a floor as the withdrawal sucks all of ones energy, and then just sat on a couch until got the meds...
