Makeing a correction on Qi Men distances near or far as of searches found a relationship that holds for it...

Unfortunately in both the books and of 3 different QMDJ courses have taken, they kept it just at the basic level where depending on the Solar cycle being Yang or Yin that of the near and far distances are depicted by 2 L blocks of 4 palaces (directions) each!...
While correct that's simply not enough, one has to further look at where the Date and Hour palaces fall in those L Blocks, and where they fall will indicate whether the involved topic areas are:
1. Near and short or soon in time and distance.
2. Far in distance but quick or soon in time.
3. Far and long in time and distance.
It's copyrighted info, so can't specify all to it, but have checked and it did work out of previous missing persons and crimes type areas that were looked at here...
Any who have taken a QMDJ course should now be able to figure that out pretty fast...
Some courses such as the Adv Tier of the Joey Yap course (c) do include a special bonus class that is *excellent*, very thorough aka detailed on both that of missing items, and missing persons...

The very last topic covered in that of which their is a pdf version also, is that of one's Qi Men Birth chart *Destiny Reading* of *Birth Stem and Palace* as used in a QMDJ birth chart...
[It very clearly first describes the birth date heaven's stem being the same as one's Bazi's aka Four Pillars Day Master, and it's at core level representing the individual themselves...

The Android os can run as vis an Android emulator in a protected sandbox mode on any pc os type as well...
One advantage with it, is beyond that of other free sites calculators it can also calculate your Qi Men charts using the Imperial Zhi Run count method for those charts too...
On the other pillars each Master may cover them a bit differently, so if your not yet in a course, and your using Jerry King's QMDJ book you should stick with that, until such a time that you may decide to take a supplemental or major course itself, that further includes other areas...
Anyway no matter what type of QMDJ chart you look at for yourself it's always the birth date's *palace type* that applies for you...
Ex: If your birth dates heaven stem aka your day master in your qmdj birth chart let's say shows up in for example in the Gen palace, then relative just yourself and in any other qmdj chart you'd always look, examine that of it's Gen palace for what's up for you...
So now you know your birth destiny, however as opposed to readings and event charts *you do have to tone down to the positive* most of the meanings of your stems, gates/doors, stars and that of the god, diety, universe's archetype, etc type your born with...
That as your not simply an event or creature of the almighty and powerful *hour unit of time*, but a living and growing human being with in most cases a life span of many years, and your actual personage, consciousness, personal actions, etc *are highly influenced, developed over time, and even trained by that of your parents, things of the environments, and that of many interpersonal human social aspects, plus the rules within the society you belong as well...
So if your chart shows some of that in the palace as negative or inauspacious types don't freak or worry about it, simply convert the said *to more positive aspects* of the same listed char and or talents, etc involved...
Qi Men aka the QMDJ was originally designed for warfare so it naturally has some rough or coarse aspects to the meanings of it's components, so *you'll have to use common sense and smooth out the details when applying it to a person*...
Over time you'll come to understand it better and better...
Later the interested can further and highly advance themselves through both supplemental or major courses on it and/or the many other subjects the QMDJ also covers...
