However the Western types are more detailed for the basic birth types, etc and will show one the actual degrees for all the other house cusps, whereas Vedic will show cusp degree only for the Physical aka 1st house only with the rest of a whole signs view only...
In terms of activities and connected activities gives a much better timings view for our dailies, but I have both systems to check from, on any given area...

Doesn't alter the other house cusps significantly at all, and most western house systems will still show that sign Leo is intercepted within the 12th house, and that the upper end of sign Cancer at 26 to 27 degrees is the 12th house cusp, which means the bulk of sign Cancer remains in Gemini 11th house type areas, just as have been referring to for recents and many domestic matches in this period...
The above is more for other astrologer's and techy but explains what I'd ran into there, most who teach or use that of Ernst's Wilhelm's Western Vedic astrology methods do so keeping it's house system intact as a standard vedic chart:
In that every single house cusp is kept at the same degree as the physical and of which from all the various varga derivatives for their other divisional charts are all derived from, which pretty much keeps the entire Vedic system intact...
I certainly don't knock that a bit, but using it in the form of what they call a rashi chart aka an actual birth or event chart doesn't work as well here and for me, as do the standard western birth, event chart types, meaning in terms of actual events and their timings s and how they relate to the basic chart's houses itself!...

Anyway that's why I stick to standard western tropical charts of their house systems where most often a lot of the house cusp and signs on them will be totally different than the taught of Western tropical Vedic chart types!...

Each Western Astrologer *uses the house systems they prefer*, with the Placidus house system as always having been one of the most popular, but just as Ernst uses in his courses from that I use the Campanus house system though in the standard western way, for the US, etc stuff here, *and get just great results with it*, but of minor differences it's always up to the Astrologer...
In that I use, quite a bit of the basic vedic system remains using the main standard of the inner or personal planets (the ancient 7) plus the Moon's nodes Rahu and Ketu which is in line with most chinese systems as well, and I further include the Nakshatras and at rare times the padas for the more exquisite of timings in that...
Rare that would include the Outers Neptune, Uranus and Pluto which are more for generational and larger time measures such as a life chart and areas further beyond that of countries or global themes...
Uranus can be interesting but usually the Moon and it's nodes plus Mars covers anything of the Abrupt in changes type, and then in Moon's areas the Nakshatra rulers as sub rulers also factor in which is enough!...
May add some minors in future such as Juno, Ceries, etc but hasn't been really necessary for that of US forecast types here...

Was going to look into it more, but it uses *the sidereal zodiac only* with a western tropical zodiac's house system...
Going to stick with western tropical here and the campanus house system, the use of nakshatra's, etc is not a violation as when in sidereal a planet reaches the same signs and degrees as I show in tropical it too would use be within the very same nakshatra, and the same ruler to it also!...Are usually 3 within a nakshatra but we keep it to the main and simple here...
The KP is said to be very specifically predictive, but that's not exactly what is done here as put out only a generalized forecast for a period, then focus on timings when important events occur...
Instead if was going to be very specifically predictive in answering y/n questions would personally mainly use the QM with the Wwg for other detail for that...
In those there's simply environmentals influences and conditions that affect the person and relationships conditions too, and from that shown, it's either favorable, difficult or not favorable at all... No long story...
According to Apple (c) after the latest high sierra update my Parashara is not yet optimized for it, did notice had to use a higher correction of 24:07 degrees using Lahiri for western charts of it, and a tiny bit of instability when moving a worksheet cell about it so far...
Also applied to the newly installed of the IO Editions Western Astro softwares as well, and between the two do once in a while slip on the numeric calculations and have to do a repeat but other than that works fine...

Due to it to be delivered the next date meant it had already been taken to their docks and picked up by the carrier already so I was quite relieved...
That as my wife had just returned from overseas, but she was in a pretty rough state and is unable to pick them up for me in the present...
There had been prior problems with home deliveries...It took a call in December to get that straightened out, so assumed all would go well...
Was informed then the theoretical reason for delivary (always requested) problems which had stemmed from October onwards was because my primary care Doctor (A very good one) had been fired???!!!...
She was of my understanding actually a registered nurse temporarily subbing for a Doctor until a replacement could be found, so the fired part made no sense...She was quite good at her job!...
Was shocked to hear that, but said nothing as I knew and know absolutely nothing about it, and *thought it astounding that such would be a reason not to execute a critical home delivary on*, needless to say I got the home delivary right on time in Decemeber...
Anyway rcvd nada Jan 18th and thought for sure would have to rcv it Jan 19th but again nada, and no message on the doors which a carrier leaves if no one is home!...Was definitely home...
*In the interim* have some old prescribed but expired quite strong pain relievers taking, doesn't do as good a job and still left with some fired up back pain that does escalate if move around too much, *but at least not at the #10 level it can reach with no high power pain killer at all*...

In Shri Jyoti Star 9 Pro when no ayanamsha selected it comes out the Moon's degree whether of a birth chart or a current lunar period chart *is exactly the same as what good modern Western tropical software types show for it...
In Parashara both 7.04 and 9.0 versions and of it's ayanamsa Offset options, had to correct again as prior had bumped up it's ayanamsha offset for US stuff, but in very thorough checks using my own birth chart had to reset the ayanamsha offset to 23:09 degrees...
In Kala 2016 was able to add the same Offset using a date such an arbitrary of 1/15/2000 for the Offset in it's case, and do get the same as any modern Western tropical birth chart and in current of the FM lunar also, correctly and exactly matching of physical's, and of their Moon's degrees as well...
Yields the correct Nakshatra that way, and the correct daily transits and the dasas to 5 levels also...So also excellent in that!...It's Muhurta Explorer may be some differences, but then other settings may sort that out as well so initially assume all is ok for now...
In all those it comes out exact for that and *all in all the current of chart's physical's such as the lunar FM period, etc*, and *the all important of the Moon's birth degree* for the correct Nakshatra as well...Matching the Western Tropical types!...

Got really mixed up on the Parashara and turned around on that about *the dasa's in it's Muhurta* section, *those do properly reflect the birth or any chart that your working on at the time*...
That as it's more expansive daily and hourly Muhurta *is always directly tied to the chart your working on*!...
Also of it's astro weathers thermometer along with the extremely important of the dasa and tarabala info's in the Muhurta section, one can expertly pick a good date and time to begin any important matters, ventures, travels or projects with that...
Only need the 23:09 offset if use an ayanamsa for Western Vedic uses, or if you choose it's none (sayana) aka no ayanamsa option, *then you don't need an offset, and it comes out correct!*...
Using it's date and time options very accurate for the dasa's and works the best...

Parashara is *more touchy than others*: Once you use it's *none (sayana) option*, and if want *to keep that as the default*, you have to close the chart(s) your working on first, before exiting Parashara itself...
Do that and when restart Parashara it will hold that option in place, vary from that and it won't...
