However I had to research and find the mechanics of those, as don't think any of the classes materials have ever taught that of determining the when and vis what factors does a Graha specifically become malefic or benefic versus physical rising signs, etc...
Most somewhat expensive classes of MP-3's and their books or pdf's covered just the states ,state types, conditions vis Signs, Dignities, Avastha's alone, but none specified the specific rules of what makes a given Graha Malefic or Benefic at a given time, sign, etc, other than the most basic of the Grahas which are *naturally of one of those types...

Anyway problem was that normally in Leo *Jupiter is neutral*, but with the Sun in Sag 5th areas that of Leo is energized by *it's trine* for trinal houses, and in that as Leo's ruler specifically also, plus we have a trine to Jup which energized it as well, *causing it to have a benefic status in the first place...
Appears that wasn't quite tight and strong enough in the beginning of this period...
In the next 4 - 5 days or more that trine gets tighter and hopefully gives Jup an even bigger boost!...

Also it's due to Jup's status in the Leo physical vis the Sun, that gives Rahu a derived benefic status in the first place also...
So what are called the amplification effects of Rahu may or may not might be so strong in the positive direction, but it may within that next 4-5 days, etc get a bit stronger as the Sun's trine to both Jupiter and Rahu tightens...

Just some thoughts on the current cold airs stuff and a bit on today, tomorrow's areas...
Normally we think of Capricorn as going with that and then the Sun when in it signifies a cold zone, but as in any part of astro rules or givens there are variences and exceptions...
The Sun was within 5 degrees of Capricorn here then, so was approaching it and even of Jup trine not enough to stave off the effects of Mercury rx in *Capricorn* itself...Mercury goes with winds and being close to cold season start was the initiator, it was that which brought the cold airs vis winds here, not too mention a twister up in the (think) north's other day...
Normally give that of general case stuff by rules here, but never expect identical correspondances just that of generally correct gists and as in the above I didn't look at the full picture when referred to the cold timings, and likely to happen again or at other times just due to using the main of general rules or correspondances alone to describe things coming up...
Then again it's not a bad reference as in the bulk of years and even with timing exceptions aka other timing factors usually by the time the Sun's in Capricorn the cold of the season has set in...
Aside Mercury rx in this case we were also in a zone where the month lord was that of Rahu which always takes, brings that of turbulent progressive changes in, which will always include that of weathers conditions as too...

So I'm very limited in that this year, and I can pretty much only observe and track that which happens for data gathering purposes aka learn from it...Expect though that of dasa's will still apply but haven't been looking at the actual US dasa's as did in 2013 and 2014 so far!...
Anyway limited there Astro wise, however vis our timed pairs and tosses we still get and know whether strong storms of any type as well as other natural phenomena will be in vis that of the Earth clashes any pair may happen to hold...
That's more general and covers the entire US and other global locations to boot, but we do accurately match up to any given of US storms even to the date of those that come up in a given period...
Not going into but we've used other small indicators aside the earth clash types to identify the likelihood of wet stuff on a given date as well, and the same in terms of Venus aspects in the astro with fair results too...
