That of your *birth* life/destiny palace is pretty much who you are or who and how you come across as, and interact with *to others as* in the physical, the sign itself applies there and likely nature wise to the stars there as well (On years not so much except of it's palace area), and the stars of birth life/destiny palace further describe that of your traits and the path, etc you take or later in life...
On years (everyone has same sign just different palace) and in some areas they might look really good and in some years not so good, in books as teaching examples usually interpreted as such...
However often where a year chart shows things of a given area will be rough, the 10 yr chart just may overide it, and then there's also *those* of other positive areas in the year, *that may enter the picture to assist you*...Then sometimes decisions and actions you took in the same area of prior year(s) may also have nullified some negatives as well...
That most very major to the year is of the areas your life destiny palace becomes in it, then from there it comes down to the month and date, so if any negative stars in the destiny and those plus other come up in specific months and dates problems surface...True of any of the years areas...On major months and dates where had quite negative stuff of accidents, disease, ill emotional confrontations or relationships, or other just physical comes up and there's usually two or more indicators in the month followed by a date (Or vice versa) that bangs one of them...
People are not perfect so were always going to have some types of incidents or rough patches in a year, and *in the opposite most good to even great months or dates can be found ahead in the ZWDS as well*...
Properly read they are very accurate in details charts...
Everyone's Year Life Destiny palace is same as the year aka that of the Dog palace where ever that falls in your personal chart...Stars there will say a lot about...
Books or more would be better but blogs such as *ZWDS As Above So Below (c)* have very good star definitions you could use!...
As far as year be glad it's Yang earth and not a Yang metal Dog year...Meant in the multiples sense of all charts in the same sign for a given year, would be rough, rougher globally...

On Qi Men still waiting to see how some results come out before proceed any further there, training was not adequate enough too few examples, etc and just glad have the Jerry King book which additionally clears up some, but the personal destiny types parts appear very adequate there...
For detectives are better courses in that they have a Yahoo groups or similar written area where members can read and directly learn *from others posts besides adding their own questions there*, though private vis membership, all is out in the open and up front for the members themselves...
Have never been but pretty sure that beyond the training and other videos methods is vis the private but open to members of a group using text msg's such as in yahoo groups, is a superior way of exchanging informations, getting direct answers one needs to methods, etc and furthering their learnings in any given online study area...
Overall for me still a *very long, long term work in progress*, but use the basic Qi Men events and for questions areas at a slightly more advanced level than the online course itself teaches, so doing ok there....
Than the personal destiny side is the more internally spiritual area of it, and in which one learns to make self improvements overcome their handicap's, and more which is a great side in aide and that like as well...

To make things more realistic, since modern day vedic aspects are definitely geared to the longer termed of individual's birth charts themselves, *we will use the original of the Bihrat Parashara Hora Shastra aspects instead*...
That because were dealing with the short term and of wide geograhical areas in the use of these lunar charts, so we need to cover more ground and the more numerous of aspects each Graha has of the older system works much better for these charts!...
Minus Rahu and Ketu, all the other Grahas *always aspect* that of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th *signs*/houses *from them*...
That's all we need to remember!...
They do so at 25%, 50%, 75% or 100% strengths aka points depending on the planet and *sign*/house aspect involved, but here we don't care about the strength's part, *as we are only interested in what activity types and issues may be in, and for that we just need to know what houses each planet aspects*...
Then we also still look at and include what each given graha (planet) rules brings as issues to their own areas, as well aside and with the aspects themselves just listed...
On Rahu and Ketu we will use the modern there, in which they only aspect the 5th, 7th and 9th from their positions and include that as well...Leave to you...
While it's a lot, you'd see most not all of these aspects in *Parashara* and/or Kala software views as well, and it more accurately sizes up what all this chart shows as active, which will match that of the actual event areas and events for a given two week period...
